As a fan of the book I found it extremely well done, unlike other recent literary remakes.<br />On the matter of Adele, her mother was a French dancer/escort who lived with Mr Rochester in France but he left her when he caught her with another man. On her death bed she told him that Adele was his. Even though he is certain the woman was lying he took the girl in as his own. Rather noble for a man who detests children.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
