86th Academy Awards: My Nominees

In about an hour or so, the 86th Annual Academy Award nominees will be announced.

This ain't a list of predictions.  Far from it.  I won't venture a guess as to Best Art Direction (though expect The Great Gatsby to be one of the nominees).   Instead, what I have hear are MY picks in a variety of categories.  These are the films I would nominate for particular categories if I had that power.  That being the case, I don't offer predictions for the actual nominees.

I do hope to give my views on the actual nominees once they're announced later today.  As for now, here I present MY nominees for the Best of 2013.  Please keep in mind that this list is based on films that I have seen, so there may be worthy films that are left out.  However, I cannot nominate something I haven't seen.
